Neurofeedback for Athletes
Every athlete knows that there is much more to performance than just physical movement. The brain coordinates sensory awareness, reaction time, attention switching, arousal, and emotions…all part of the sporting experience. Mental chatter disrupts performance. Very subtle brain tension occurring in the “heat of the moment” can make muscles move less fluidly, affecting fine motor coordination. The “zone” is where most athletes want to be. But what is it and how does an athlete return to it more and more efficiently? The answer is clear….an electronically “flexible” brain is able to return to peak states of processing and performance much easier than an “average” brain. There is no approach that targets brain training goals like neurofeedback. Better brains win!
